Accurate measurement is essential when ordering Inset Frames or St Ives Frames. This quick guide shows you exactly how to measure your canvas board for a perfect fit.
Place it on a clean, level, and hard surface. Avoid beds or soft tables.
Use a metal tape measure and measure at the widest point (side to side).
Measure top to bottom at the tallest point. Always use millimetres (mm).
Write down both measurements clearly before ordering.
Printed sizes on labels or packaging are often approximate only. Always measure the canvas board yourself to avoid ordering the wrong size frame.
