A traditional picture frame, supplied empty for your stretched canvas. The canvas fits in from the back and the frame overlaps its edges by about 5mm on each side.
Virtually all stretched canvas pictures, such as oil paintings, can be fitted into a normal picture frame and held in place using Canvas Z Clips. Our range of Canvas Picture Frames are from our normal custom frame range, excluding thinner profile frames and frames with small rebate depths. No glazing, backing or flexible tabs are supplied or required when framing a stretched canvas. These frames will be supplied with hanging fixtures for the back of the frames and Canvas Z Clips to hold the canvas in place.
It is perfectly normal for the depth of your canvas to extend past the back of the frame. The amount your stretched canvas extends out the back of the frame will be determined by the depth of your stretched canvas, and the rebate depth of the selected frame.
Frames will be manufactured to the size entered plus a few millimetres movement allowance - Read Our Measuring Guide
