Billions of people use Facebook and Instagram, and hundreds of millions of photos are uploaded to them every day. The chances are you have an account on one or both.
Perhaps you share pictures of your pets or a weekend away. Perhaps you mostly look at other people's photos, or scroll back through old ones with friends and wince at what you used to wear. But how many of those photos have you printed, and how many are framed and hanging at home?
Is technology killing off the photo frame?
Remember buying a CD, a tape or, if you are old enough, a record, and poring over the artwork? Then Apple launched the iPod, the smartphone and tablet followed, and you could walk around with a thousand songs in your pocket.
Photos have gone the same way. Think of your parents' house: albums of baby pictures, family holidays and birthdays, neatly labelled and boxed at the back of a wardrobe. Few of us have recorded our own lives like that. Our albums live in the cloud, which is no bad thing in itself.
So is there still a place for picture frames? Of course. There is always a place for a framed photograph. It seems a shame to leave your most treasured memories locked away on social media where nobody sees them. Bring a few back to life, so that the people who visit can enjoy them too.
