Bar depth: 20mm (3/4"). The depth of the bar: how far the stretched canvas will stand out from the wall.

How to measure
The size you enter is the outside size of the stretcher bar frame. For a frame you already have, order the bars about 4mm smaller, in both width and height, than the frame's opening: that leaves room for the canvas wrapped round them. Ordering a new frame as well? Enter the same size for both, and the frame is made to fit.
